back to my past

nothing to do so i decided to make my day productive. i started on my project - scrapbook-ing.
:::
i saw my first diary. my aunt gave it to me when i was just 10 years old. i treated it like a friend, writing about what happened to me during the day or the past week. i wrote about my birthday, my dad's birthday, parties at my cousins house and i even called it pammy! =) children stuffs are really so simple, innocent and sweet.
:::
i found letters given to me by my friends in highschool. it was fun reading it again. all we talked about were boys! who's havin a crush on who and what's his and his telephone number. as far as i can remember, i didn't have the guts to call any of them. i feel sad though that i don't have communication with them anymore and guilty too because i didn't make an effort to maintain contact with them.
:::
letters and greeting cards given by past boyfriends. some are sweet. some are funny. some are pathetic. hehe. no more elaboration needed.
:::
i retrieved poems from a very dear friend, Olivier. i re-read over and over letters from him, ShaSha and other friends from the swim team. i even kept the one letter full of hatred (at that time). i kept it because i knew we were just both very honest about how we felt for each other which made us better and stronger individuals. bit of trivia: despite all the ups and downs, we have remained friends.
:::
then, my friends in college. i have kept all sorts letters, notes, quotable quotes, or sometimes just plain out-of-boredom literary pieces from them. some about life and friendship but mostly about love. all of us were either hopeless romantic at that time or just plain hopeless.
:::
with all these, i just found out that i was also a "sentimental-basurera."
