Singapore lah!

Now, here's a detailed kwento about my first trip outside the country - Singapore!
I know it's overdue... but what the hell. This is my blog anyway. Hehe. ;)

Flight SQ73 is supposed to depart at 14:15. A few minutes into boarding time, seconds before we were to go in, there was an announcement - "Passengers of flight SQ73, may I have your attention please. There is a bomb threat on the plane. Please do not panic..." What? A bomb threat?! Ang malas ko naman. Sino kaya may balat sa pwet? First time to fly outside the Philippines, maho-hold pa ata! They're taking away precious time from my very short vacation. 3 hours delayed, we arrived in Singa safe and sound. :)

It's Sentosa day and I'm in charge. ;) There are lots of things to do in Sentosa, too bad we only have a day to explore it. And this isn't even half of it...
1. Cable car ride from Mount Faber to Sentosa Island.
2. Butterfly & Insect Kindom - Well, actually sa labas lang. Hehe.
3. Underwater World - We enjoyed this best. It was fascinating.
4. Pink Dolphin Show - They're really pink!
5. Merlion & Merlion Walk - Myth and origin of Singapore plus a bird's eyeview of Sentosa Island.
6. Taste of Singapore - Satay, laksa, pilaf rice, SARAP!
7. Sentosa Luge - Adrenalin pumping! Wahoo!

Singapore Night Safari
Galing! Astig to. Seeing the nocturnal animals during their active hours... And I thought only owls are nocturnal. ;)

Singapore Zoo
We saw elephants bathing, polar bears fed, sea lions doing impressive leaps and jumps, and paintings by the elephants (I bought one for only 10 SGD.) The zoo didn't look like a zoo at all. The animals were in their natural habitat. And the people were allowed only on viewing decks to avoid distracting the animals. Nice. :)

Wanting to take a last look at Singapore, we took a short boat ride along the river that goes through most of the city. By 3pm, I was on my way back to Changi Airport. Too bad, I had to leave Singa so soon. I wish I'd be able to go back...
