Saving Mother Earth

I came across this blog post and I got scared about the truth. Alarming na talaga nag effect ng global warming. I'll start praying for the rain to come. Pero sa dam area na lang sana. Baka bahain na naman kami, e. ;)

Here are some tips to save mother earth as quoted from Chuvaness...
1) Start praying everyday for rain. We have to help each other. Al Gore can't help us (he's not even running). Michael Moore can't. Wherever you are, please help us pray.
2) Buy/plant/invest/nurture bamboo trees in your home or area. They are they best absorbers of carbon emissions. They are beautiful plants. I have a pot of bamboo and am planning to buy more.
3) Car pool. Less traffic, less emissions. Save money.
4) Refuse plastic bags. Bring a tote bag if you're going shopping. Make an effort.
5) Stop buying small water bottles. Bring your own water in a flask. In a restaurant, order regular water. It won't make you sick. Those people have water suppliers. And if you do get sick, you will lose weight, which is good!
6) Recycle what you can, as in envelopes and use both sides of paper. (I have no idea if this alleviates global warming.)
7) Switch to those funny-looking energy saver bulbs.
8) PRAY, pray , pray the Rosary.
I also found out that black background in websites can save on the energy used. How?
In response to this post a black version of Google emerged called Blackle.com. According to Blackle’s homepage at publication time, 4,408.917 Watt hours have been saved by. The site encourages users to “make a difference today [by] … Blackling "energy saving tips" or visit[ing] treehugger.com a great blog dedicated to environmental awareness.” Nice ideas. But how does the search measure up? Very well indeed. Give it a whirl yourself and start saving energy one search at a time.
I'll be starting my share by changing my blogger background to black and maybe, just maybe, bring my own mug when buying coffee. ;)
