The KXP

Last night, after the fiesta in Bgy. Slavacion (La Loma) at my Lola Ying's place, Benj and I tried the new restaurant at Robinsons Midtown called Kulinarya Experience (KXP). And this is what we experienced...

Squash soup.
I am not a fan of soups, I can have my meals without them. But so far I liked all the squash/pumpkin soups I've tasted - that's why I ordered one from KXP. I forgot to take a photo of it. Maybe for wanting to take it in immediately and have a nice warm soup. To my dismay, the soup was not hot, not even warm. Well ok, warm in some areas. I'm guessing it was just heated in the microwave oven.

Chicken fillet with Steak sauce and pasta.
This was Benj's order. He said it was ok. I tried it, and it was ok. Too bad, it's just ok.
Squid with Teppanyaki sauce and rice.
My order. It looked good, until I saw that the rice was tutong rice. I mean, hindi naman ako maarte (masyado) sa food ko and I do eat tutong rice... at home. Who would want to pay X amount of money for that kind of rice in a restaurant? The food was not hot, as in cold when it was served to me. Plus, this is the biggest dismay. While having my squid and rice, I felt something prick me inside my mouth. It felt like a fishbone. I immediately spit it out, and didn't get to see what it really was. But I dont think there is any fishbone in squid, or rice, or vegetables. This made Benj say, "Hindi na tayo kakain dito ulit."

Overall service - not ok. Our food arrived late. (The ones seated beside us arrived later than us but they got their meals first.) Food was served cold. And there was a "fishbone" in my squid. Sorry but first impressions lasts for us. Remember Almon Marina? (If you want to know why, text us.) We don't think we're coming back to KXP, ever again.
