taxi ride

Our (ok, my..) schedule is now back to normal because the birthday bash is over. Benj and I are now back to our routine - hearing mass and watching movies. The film to watch, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo. As expected, the Rob Schneider film was hilarious. :)

Before we went to catch the flick, we went to Malate church to hear mass. It's been a while since I last paid a visit.

We took the usual means and the usual route in going to church. But it was an unsual taxi ride. The taxi driver was talking very passionately about our country's political situation. At first, I thought it was just one of those small talks that would stop once you show that you are not interested or not willing to participate in the conversation. But it wasn't. The driver continued carried on with his litany.

The driver was talking about a coup that he and his group will launch... that the person to replace GMA is only in his thirties, very intelligent like Marcos and that he is not a politician... that because of the greatness of this new leader, the peso will go up in November or December... that by January, the pero-dollar exchange rate will be one is to one...

What will happen to the Philippines in the next few months? Let's wait and see...
